'Dalkey Island cold Afternoon'
€400.00Price
Done from a sketch i have up on blogsite. This is now represented as a 'finished' watercolour. The day was very cold and calm. What struck me was the cumulus cloud, and the way it receded into the horizion line. I love typical Irish skies. Something melanchonic about the colours; fresh, clean and grey tones...especially this work. I wanted to get it 'right', or to what i was hoping for. The Island itself was dark; but looking on closer inspection, there's greens, browns and mauves. The incoming trawler winding it's way around the rocky shoreline was the icing on the cake for this painting. It's probably: 'Jamie Boy' on it's daily rounds!
