'James Joyce Tower, Sandycove'
I enjoyed painting this scene. It's renouned by many artists and poets for insprition and beauty. Walking back from the 'Forty foot' your hit with this view of the famous battery: The James Joyce Tower and the quaint bungalows below. Its a great composition for a painting. The deep shadows drew me to this scene. The couple walking up the hill added perspective in relation to the adjacent buildings. Also the telegraph poles balance and frame the picture.
