'St Bridget at Dalkey Island'
€300.00Price
I love boats and all things marine life. No exception here - I caught this scene when out with my dog. The scene is of the beautiful Dalkey Island and the Dublin Cruise boat: St, Bridget sailing around the Island and back to Dublin Port with it's tourists. Dalkey island's name originates back to the Viking times. It's approx 22 acres of land. Is a wildlife sanctuary way back since the 1800s,. It's inhabited by only goats grazing on the barren landscape.
The painting was a joy to do, especially the sky. I would have preferred to put the seagulls in the darker areas of the sky to show more outlined features. The boat work placed well crossing by the Island i feel. I didn't want to add to many vessels, etc.
