'The Green Sea' (view of Howth Head)
Aptly called the 'Green Sea'. I love when you see the ships passing by Howth head - you get wonderful contrasts. Here is an example; the ship is fully visable to the naked eye passing the bay, and especially been highlighted against the dark backround of the land (Howthhead). The sky plays a vital roll and opens up the painting to let the viewer in. That way my intention. Everything had to be simple here: as in not over working any of the values and show the main interest - the ship and sail boats.
