'Waiting for the Wind'
€400.00Price
This was originally done from a watercolour sketch working from my car bonnet looking out across the harbour of West Pier Dun laoghaire Harbour. I saw these guys gettings ready to go out for a bit of Saturday mornings sailing off the slip. I over heard one fella say: "Lets wait till the wind picks up". That's where the title came from. Indeed the wind did pick up and they got going - as i did too. I took a few photos. I didn't want to miss the moment. (I have to use photos for purposes of accuracy and values) My sketches and 'artistic eye' are my tools. I sketched the harbour and surrounds, however very hard to capture a vessel moving off at speed.
