''Autumn Sunlight on West Pier, Dun Laoghaire', Co Dublin
I haven't painted here in a very long time. This was special. The end of the pier has this beautiful victorian battery with canons and a glorious lighthouse. The deep shadow of course is the main centre of interest. I hope i captured it. Some figures in shadow, others just out of it. The rough sea water crashing against the pier gives a sense of windy and cooler temperatures of autumn. Figures are necessary here. This pier has rarely nobody walking, be it winter or summer. When you get to this point on the pier you just have to look out and get a birdseye view of Dublin bay and Howth peninsula.
